    The aim of this study was to assess and characterize the different cultivation methods having regard to the validity of the new ISO standards and examine the growth of mould and yeast selected genera (and species) of cultivation media. The assessing of the importance of moulds and yeasts occurring in foods is not always sufficient to determine a quantity. Growth and characteristic morphology of individual species of moulds were observed best in Malt Extract Broth agar.
