Changes in inorganic substances in broiler chickens in relation to age and sex

  • Original language description

The objective of the experiment was to monitor changes in the composition of mineral substances in broiler chickens, hens and cockerels, hybrid combination ROSS 308, during their fattening period. Analyses of body composition were performed at 1, 5, 10,15, 20, 25, 30, 35 and 40 days of age. We assessed the content of ash, calcium, phosphorus and magnesium in chicken carcass dry matter. Our results suggest that there are considerable changes in the carcass mineral composition during the fattening of broiler chickens.
