Original language description
The aim of this study was to monitor occurrence of bacteria of the genus Lactobacillus in samples of raw cow's milk. Isolates of lactobacilli were cultivated from samples of raw milk (n = 30) collected from milk vending machines in South Moravia Region,the Czech Republic in the period from 2010 to 2014. Polymerase chain reaction (PCR) method was used for the identification of suspected isolates (n = 64). Only 30% of isolated strains were identified as Lactobacillus spp. In total more than half (53%) ofthe collected samples contained Lactobacillus spp. and during the study, the number of positive samples increased.
