Consumers' preferences and considerations about sushi meal in Brno, Czech Republic
Original language description
Asian food and among them also sushi, as unique meal composed of acidified rice and raw fish, are getting more popular in the Czech Republic. The proof for this statement is the opening of many Asian restaurants throughout European cities where many types of sushi meal can be consumed. The aim of this survey was to provide information that enable better understanding of consumers' preferences among the non-random sample of respondents. The results showed respondents' frequency of consuming sushi meal and that they are well informed about health benefits of sushi consumption and certain hazards considering the consumption of raw fish.
