Original language description
Electrical stunning has shown a positive effect on meat quality parameters and animal welfareduring slaughter compared to unstunned animals. However, these influences are related to theused values of technical parameters, which may vary depending on the country or specificslaughterhouses. The use of electric stunning method has also faced criticism from some welfareresearchers and organizations, who often consider this method of stunning as insufficient from ananimal welfare perspective. The aim of this study is to review the influence of different technicalparameters of electrical stunning on the meat quality of broilers, as well as on animal welfareduring the stunning and slaughter process.
