    The article deals with different arguable approaches of Russian and foreign scholars to the question of the influence of bilingualism on the language personality&apos;s intellectual development. Arguments about the influence of bilingualism on man&apos;s intellectual progress are presented. The unifying idea of he text is the idea that bilingualism has a positive influence on a language personality&apos;s intellectual evolution if the child is motivated to the intellectual and emotional potential of intercultural communication.
