Today#s economic and social changes force universities to try to find new learning approaches. The student-centred learning approach emphasises independence and the responsibility of the student in his/her own learning. e-Learning seems to be an appropriate tool in this respect. However, making e-Learning work is not an easy task. It has to be carefully implemented into the organisation. The authors of this paper will elaborate on the process of the introduction of e-Learning into the university. This article is based on the experience with e-Learning and the implementation of the WebCT learning environment at the Faculty of Informatics and Management, University of Hradec Kralove, Czech Republic.
