Original language description

Efficient utilisation of advanced manufacturing technology is definitely one of crucial factors influencing the competitiveness of manufacturing companies. We have been involved in the field of advanced manufacturing technology adoption research for several years and we have made some interesting comparisons amongst conditions in the Czech Republic, the United Kingdom, and in the United States of America. We have co-operated with the respective research teams in these countries in order to identify various resemblances as well as differences and we have been concerned with the relevant managerial attitudes towards adoption of advanced technology too. Some interesting findings that were ascertained especially in the area of perception of strategic importance of AMT, the relevant benefits identification, evaluation, and their quantification will be described here.

Efektivní využití vyspělých výrobních technologií je jedním z klíčových faktorů ovlivňujících konkurenceschopnost výrobních podniků. Autoři článku se problematikou využívání vyspělých výrobních technologií zabývají již řadu let a provedli určitá srovnáníodpovídajících podmínek v České republice, Velké Británii a ve Spojených státech amerických. Ve spolupráci s partnerskými týmy vědců z příslušných zemí identifikovali množství podobností ale i zřejmých rozdílů v přístupu managerů k přijímání a zaváděnívyspělých výrobních technologií. Předmětem tohoto článku jsou vybrané výsledky zaměřené speciálně na oblast vnímání strategického významu vyspělých technologií, posuzování potenciálních přínosů, jejich identifikace a kvantifikace.
