Original language description
OpenSocial is a new platform for knowledge mapping. The goal is to create virtual environment where a community´s member will be able to share information about organization members´ activities and visualize this information in a knowledge map. The system conceptual model is based on Topic Maps Data Model standard. It is a multi-dimensional structure to save all entities that contribute to cooperation of organization knowledge assets. Topic is the basic entity and any derived entity may be associated with another. The basic topic types are Objectives, Groups, Events, Documents and People. Each entity can be extended by comments, key words and voting. The user interface is designed to easy searching and visualization of relations.
