Learning ESP in face-to-face classes versus online courses: research results
Original language description
This paper presents research results of the two-year pedagogical experiment comparing test scores in ESP taught either in the traditional face-to-face way of instruction, or via online courses in LMS Blackboard at the Faculty of Informatics and Management, University of Hradec Kralove, Czech Republic. The received results prove there were no statistically significant differences in learners´knowledge in ESP in both approaches to teaching/learning. The results are also discussed from the point of student´s individual learning preferences, and finally, a proposal of a widely applicable approach is presented.
