The EU endowment draw at selected universities in the 2007-2014 period: Comparative analysis

  • Original language description

The current turn of two European Union programming periods is the appropriate time to evaluate the endowment draw in the years 2007-2013, in the terms of the total amount of allocated resources and the their efficiency use. The aim of this paper is to analyze the endowment draw at selected universities in the Czech Republic, specifically in the Northeast Cohesion Region. As existing studies are primarily dealing with evaluations from the perspective of the Funds or Operational Programs, in this paper authors focused on evaluating from the receiver perspective. The main goal of this paper is to identify and compare the total amount of funds received by the selected public universities in the Czech Republic. These findings are used for further analysis and also provide an opportunity for self-assessment at the universities in question made by the method of quantitative analysis of allocated funds and conducted projects. The analysis discovered significant differences among the selected universities, both in the amount of allocated funds and in the number of projects. The highest activity was monitored at the Technical University of Liberec, the least active institution was the University of Hradec Kralove.
