Improving University Entrance Examination System Using Rule Induction
Original language description
There are huge numbers of student examination records kept at each university and usually some kind of statistics is used to work with the relevant databases there. Unfortunately, statistics can easily miss important relationships and that is why we should ask the question whether we understand properly the existing relations to use them efficiently. The paper describes some new approaches that are currently tested at FMIT to utilise genetic programming for data mining of student examination records with the aim to improve our entrance examinations system.
