For the period from 2020 to 2023, the Philosophical Faculty of the University Hradec Králové, the Institute ofSocial Work, received the applied research grant (Technological granting agency of the Czech Republic),focused on pilot deployment of new technologies in professional social counselling entitled "Use of artificialintelligence elements in providing professional social counselling". Specifically, the project deals with thepossibilities of applying new communication platforms in social work - the development of a counsellingchatbot. The importance of professional social counselling may also increase with the coming of (mega) trends,such as the so-called “Industry 4.0”, where part of jobs in the labor market are endangered (unemploymentgrowth) by the arrival of new technologies led by artificial intelligence. Is it possible to use these newtechnologies to solve the situation in professional social counseling? The Institute of Social Work is developingthe content in cooperation with the Občanské poradenské středisko, o.p.s (Civic Counseling Center) in HradecKrálové counselling chatbot with elements of machine learning.
