Distributional History and Present Status of the Species of the Family Scoliidae (Hymenoptera) in Poland and the Czech Republic
Original language description
We present historical and current records of four wasp species of the family Scoliidae in Central Europe. Scolia hirta (Schrank) and Scolia sexmaculata (Müller) are common in Poland and the Czech Republic. They inhabit forest environments on sand layers, especially the Polish river valleys. Megascolia maculata (Drury) has been recorded only in some parts of the Czech Republic, while Colpa sexmaculata (F.) is considered extinct in the study region.
