    Adsorption of water-soluble organic dyes on ferrofluid-modified sawdust

    Spruce sawdust was magnetically modified used to study the adsorption of selected water-soluble organic dyes. ESR and TEM measurements indicated the presence of both individual magnetic nanoparticles and their clusters precipitated on the surface of theadsorbent. The adsorption isotherms usually followed Langmuir, generalized Freundlich, generalized Langmuir and Langmuir-Freundlich adsorption patterns. Maximum adsorption capacities between 34 - 59 mg of dye per g of dry adsorbent.

  • Czech description

    Smrkové piliny byly magneticky modifikovány magnetickou kapalinou a použity pro studium adsorpce vybraných ve vodě rozpustných barviv. ESR a TEM analýzy indikovaly přítomnost individuálních magnetických nanočástic i klastrů aglomerovaných na povrchu adsorbentu. Adsorpční izotermy mohou být popsány Langmuirovým nebo Freundlichovým modelem. Maximální adsorpční kapacity dosáhly 34 - 59 mg barviva na 1 g suchého adsorbentu.
