The aim of the study was to elucidate when the rhythms in clock gene expression and clock-controlled gene expression start to develop within the rat suprachiasmatic nucleus. The data suggest that rhythms in clock gene expression for the most part developpostnatally and that they are not necessary for the generation of the rhythmic arginine vasopressin clock-controlled gene expression

Cílem práce bylo zjistit, kdy se v suprachiasmatických jádrech laboratorního potkana začínají vyvíjet rytmy v expresi hodinových a hodinami řízených genů. Bylo prokázáno, že rytmy v expresi hodinových genů se vyvíjejí převážně až během postnatálního období a že nejsou nezbytné pro vznik rytmické exprese hodinami řízeného genu pro arginin vasopresin
