MK-801 impairs cognitive coordination on a rotating arena (Carousel) and contextual specificity of hippocampal immediate-early gene expression in a rat model of psychosis
Original language description
This original study shows that administration of MK-801, a non-competitive blocker of NMDA receptors, in an acute animal model of schizophrenia, impairs cognitive coordination on the rotating arena (Carousel) and contextual specificity if IEGs expressionin the CA1 region of the hippocampus. The study employed variants of place avoidance task on Carousel and molecular imaging of IEGs
