Original language description

A package of small programs to calculate P values for tests of phylogenies was ported to the Plan 9 OS from Bell Labs (Lucent). It uses output from other phylogeny programs (in particular it can use output from PAUP, PAML, and MOLPHY) which makes available to it the sitewise log-likelihoods for some trees and the trees themselves. It uses these to carry out the Kishino-Hasegawa test, the Shimodaira-Hasegawa test, a weighted version of the SH test, and a new 'approximately unbiased' test of Shimodaira's.
