A Note on the Index of B-Fredholm Operators
Original language description
We know that if S,T are commuting B-Fredholm operators acting on a Banach space X, then ST is a B-Fredholm operator. In this note we show that in general wedo not have ind (ST) = ind (S) + ind (T). However, if there exist U, V such that S, T, U, V are commuting and US + VT = I, then ind (ST) = ind (S) + ind (T).

Je známo, že když S a T jsou komutující B-Fredholmovské operátory na Banachově prostoru X, pak ST je B-Fredholmův operátor.V této poznámce ukazujeme, že obecně neplatí ind (ST) = ind (S) + ind(T). Nicméně, jestliže existují U,V tak, že S, T, U, V komutují a US + VT = I, pak ind (ST) = ind (S) + ind (T).
