Three hundred and thirty rabbits were weaned at 25 days of age and fed a basal (control) diet or diets supplemented with 0.3% mannan?oligosaccharides or 4% of inulin. No differences in the growth rate and mortality among groups were observed. The lowestmorbidity was recorded in rabbits fed inulin. Total volatile fatty acid concentration was higher and ammonia concentration lower in inulin?fed rabbits. Mannan?oligosaccharides decreased digestibility of cellulose. The results of this study suggest the importace of inulin?type fructans in the nutrition of young rabbits.

Vliv doplnění startérové diety o mannanové oligosacharidy a inulin na zdraví, metabolismus v slepém střevu, stravitelnost živin a růst časně odstavených králíků

Czech description

Třistatřicet králíků bylo odstaveno ve věku 25 dnů a rozděleno do 3 skupin. Králíci byli krmeni dietou kontrolní, dietou s 0,3% mannanových oligosacharidů a dietou s 4% inulinu. Statisticky významné rozdíly v rychlosti růstu a mortalitě nebyly zjištěny.Nejnižší morbidita byla u králíků skupiny s inulinem. U těchto králíků byla nejvyšší koncentrace těkavých mastných kyselin a nejnižší koncentrace amoniaku v obsahu slepého střeva. Mannanové oligosacharidy snížily stravitelnost celulosy. Výsledky ukazujívýznam fruktanů typu inulinu ve výživě mladých králíků.
