Interaction of polyunsaturated fatty acids and sodium butyrate during apoptosis in HT-29 human colon adenocarcinoma cells
Original language description
Pre-treatment of human adenocarcinoma HT-29 cells with either arachidonic or docosahexaenoic fatty acids attenuated cell cycle arrest caused by sodium butyrate (NaBt) which was associated with modulation of p27Kip1, but not p21Cip1/WAF1 protein expression. On the other hand, fatty acids sensitized HT-29 cells to NaBt-induced apoptosis. The observed effects were modulated by the addition of a protein synthesis inhibitor, cycloheximide, and partially reversed by the antioxidant Trolox.
Czech name
Interakce vysoce nenasycených mastných kyselin a butyrátu sodného během apoptózy buněk lidského adenokarcinomu kolonu HT-29
Czech description
Pozorované účinky byly modulovány inhibitorem syntézy proteinů cykloheximidem a částečně revertovány antioxidantem Troloxem.
