The three-dimensional structure of human interphase chromosomes is related to the transcriptome map

  • Original language description

The three-dimensional (3D) organization of the chromosomal fiber in the human interphase nucleus is an important but poorly understood aspect of gene regulation. Here we quantitatively analyze and compare the 3D structures of two types of genomic domains- ridges and antiridges - defined by the human transcriptome map. Our results reveal novel general aspects of 3D chromosome architecture that are related to genome structure and function.

3D struktura lidských interfázních chromozómů vzhledem k jejím transkripčním mapám

  • Czech description

3D organizace chromozómových vláken v lidském interfázním jádře je důležitým, ale málo prostudovaným aspektem regulace genů. Zde jsme kvantitativně analyzovali a srovnávali 3D strukturu dvou typů genomických domén - ridges a antiridges - definovaných lidskou transkripční mapou. Naše výsledky odhalily nové obecné aspekty chromozomální 3D architektury vzhledem ke struktuře genomu a funkci.
