The relationship between workplace civility level and the experience of burnout syndrome among helping professionals

  • Original language description

The study deals with relations between burnout and organizational factors (namely workplace civility). Discussed are interventions at the organizational level that should be used to support the building of a resilient culture that promotes participation, recognizes the emotional impact of work stress, reviews mistakes in a safe environment, provides time to review effectiveness, and provides mutual feedback and social support. Our data fully supports Leiter?s model of the predictive strength of value congruence for all three dimensions of burnout.
