    Soluble MHC-peptide (pMHC) complexes, commonly referred to as tetramers, are widely used to enumerate and to isolate Ag-specific CD8(+) CTL. Our results show that soluble pMHC complexes containing long linkers are recommended to prevent T cell death, whereas those containing short linkers can be used to eliminate Ag-specific CTL.

    Bylo zjištěno, že rychlá buněčná smrt CTL s příznaky programované nekrózy byla indukována pMHC-pMHC komplexy s krátkými linkery, avšak nikoliv s dlouhými linkery. Rozpustné pMHC komplexy s dlouhými linkery jsou tudíž doporučeny pro prevenci smrti T-buněk, kdežto komplexy s krátkými linkery mohou být použity pro eliminaci Ag-specifické CTL.
