Interactions of boar sperm surface proteins with porcine oviductal epithelium

  • Original language description

The formation of sperm oviductal reservoir was found to be based on saccharide-mediated interactions of glycosylated components of the oviductal epithelium with proteins attached to the sperm surface. Spermadhesins (AQN, AWN) exhibited the highest binding activivty with oviductal epithelium. Binidng of boar seminal plasma proteins to oviductal epithelium was inhibited by mannan, ovalbumin; hyaluronic acid was the most effective inhibitor of acidi polysaccharides. The ability of acid polysaccharides, especially of hyaluronic acid, to inhibit the studied interaction may play an important role in the sperm release from the oviductal reservoir and in the capacitation process

Interakce povrchových proteinů kančích spermií s prasečím epitelem vejcovodů
