Original language description

Formation of the sperm oviductal reservoir and release of sperm at the time of ovulation are important steps of fertilization occuring in the female reproductiove tract. The following molecules are involved in this process: glycoconjugates of the oviductal epithelium and oviductal fluid and proteins on the sperm surface. Lectin-like interactions of sperm surface proteins might participate in the sperm binding to the oviductal epithelium in the sperm reservoir. Hyaluronic acid, as an endogenous inhibitorof this interaction, seems to be involved in the release of sperm from the oviductal reservoir and thus it may affect sperm capacitation

Interakce lektinového typu u povrchových proteinů kančích spermií s glykokonjugáty prasečího vejcovodu

Czech description

Tvorba rezervoáru spermií ve vejcovodu a uvolnění spermií při ovulaci jsou důležité kroky oplodnění, ke kterým dochází v samčím reprodukčním traktu. Na tomto procesu se podílejí tyto molekuly: glykokonjugáty epitelu a tekutiny vejcovodu a proteiny na povrchu spermií. Interakce lektinového typu u povrchových proteinů se mohou účastnit vazby spermií na epitel vejcovodu v oviduktálním rezervoáru spermií. Hyaluronová kyselina, endogenní inhibitor této interakce, se zřejmě podílí na uvolnění spermií z rezervoáru vejcovodu a může tak ovlivnit kapacitaci spermií
