Boron based oxide scintillation glass for neutron detection

  • Original language description

The luminescence property of Ce-doped oxide glass having B and Li with large absorption coefficient for neutron was investigated by optical transmittance, alpha particle, and neutron irradiation. The light output of the Ba2O3-Li2:CeO glass system increased with the increase Ba2O3 and CeO2. It was observed that the decay time which showed composition dependence varied in the range 30-45 ns.

Oxidová scintilační skla na základě boru pro neutronovou detekci

  • Czech description

Luminiscenční vlastnosti Ce-dopovaných oxidových skel majících B a Li s vysokým absorpčním koeficientem pro neutrony byly zkoumány pomocí optické propustnosti, alfa částic a neutronového záření. Světelný výtěžek Ba2O3-Li2:CeO skelného systému roste s růstem v Ba2O3 a CeO2. Bylo pozorováno, že doba života, která záleží na složení, se měnila v rozsahu 30-45 ns.
