In the second and third chapters the author´s treatise discusses the physical principles of laser scanning technology.The fourth chapter deals with different laser scanning systems and their parameters.The fifth chapter concerns the practical use of laser scenning systems.The sixth chapter deals with arieal mapping and aerial laser scanning systems available in Europe. The economic advantages of the laser scanning system is discussed in chapter seven. The eighth chapter is dedicated to safety while using laser scanning systems. The ninth chapter contains examples from a wide range of literature regarding the given topic. Chapter ten provides a list of manufacturers and their contacts along with their internet addresses. More theoretical question are discussed in the books apendix.
