Cycloolefine Copolymers with Collagen Mediators
Original language description
Presented research activities were aimed at the proposal and the biomechanical-chemical investigation of the cycloolefin copolymer and at the verification of surface coating by copolymer collagen with glycosaminoglycan. The moduli of elasticity of the investigated composite implants PE + C/Si fibres with the surface COC lamina coated with the copolymer GAG are very similar to the moduli of elasticity of the bone tissue, and, considering their application, they do not substantially increase the bending rigidity of the bone-implant system. In such a way, they contribute to the approximate permanent state of the original (i.e. physiological) strain fields in the bone tissue during normal loading regimes. The hybrid composites PE-C/Si with the COC having the surface coated with GAG have well-controlled material characteristics (elasticity, strength, etc.) and therefore they can become an effective tool of the proposal of the replacements for a human skeleton.

Cykloolefínové kopolymery s kolagenními mediátory
