  • Original language description

    Neutron radiography is progressive method for noninvasive studies of porous media. The set-up was built to conduct ponded infiltration outflow experiment on small soil sample inside the research neutron radiography facilities. The set-up was designed from materials compatible with the neutron beam. It consists of aluminum stand, quartz glass sample tube, bottom and upper aluminum heads, digital peristaltic pumps, outflow collector and the datalogger. The peristaltic pumps supply the upper head with water, while rate of pumping is controlled by the datalogger. The second pump draws the effluent from the outflow collector. The special core sampler was as an accessory of the set-up for extraction of undisturbed soil samples in quartz glass columns.
