The Extension of Metro VA in Prague
Original language description
Within the extension of metro line "A" in Prague, the capital of Czech Republic, four new stations will be built in the period from 2010 to 2014. It is a new operational section "VA", which includes three excavated and one cut and cover station. The mined stations are further subdivided according to the profile in two single-aisled stations (Petřiny, Červený Vrch) and three-aisled Veleslavín station. A temporary end station consists of excavated station Motol and dead-end tail tracks behind the station.Construction of the first three-aisled Prague metro station designed by NATM itself is an interesting engineering task. Conditions resulting from the construction process require new techniques and details.
