    Containment of nuclear reactor is the last barrier protecting the environment from contamination in case of a serious accident. As building of at least two new units of nuclear power plants is planned in the Czech Republic in these days, new design methods should be investigated during preparation phase. The research presented in this paper is focused on detailed study of the behaviour of anchorage between steel liner and prestressed concrete wall of the containment. First numerical models were preparedin ATENA program. A segment of containment wall was loaded by a combination of prestressing, creep, shrinkage, LOCA pressure and LOCA temperature and analysed. The results show that for the layout studied, a risk of liner failure exists.
