Original language description
The project will be focused on pollution of surface runoff from roads and other impermeable surfaces. Surface water and groundwater is an important part of the environment and represents one of the basic resources needed to ensure living on Earth. Humanactivities permanently decrease its quality, where as one of the negative factors affecting the quality of surface and underground water is the transportation sector. The ever-growing transportation infrastructure and traffic amount on various types of roads cause a great risk of surface water pollution and also groundwater pollution. The main goal of the project is identification of present situation in quality of runoff from certain impermeable surfaces. Results of the monitoring will map the currentsituation in selected areas of the Czech Republic.
