New Method for Evaluation of Non-uniform Indoor Environment
Original language description
The objective of this study is to introduce a sensitive method for evaluation of non-uniform hygrothermal microclimate at workstations. Recent legislation in the Czech Republic introduces a new parameter for evaluation of indoor environment named a stereotemperature. The stereotemperature is measured by a newly developed instrument called a globe stereothermometer. In this paper the new method and its application in practice is introduced. Field measurements were carried out in offices at the Faculty ofCivil Engineering of the Czech Technical University (CTU) in Prague. The stereothemometer was used for the evaluation of non-uniform thermal microclimate conditions in the offices. The results of the experiments were evaluated using allowable values ofa non-uniform radiant-convective load for mental work classes I and IIa to the amended Government Regulation. The analyses show that the stereotemperature method is sensitive for evaluation of non-uniform thermal environment at workplaces
