Use of a Stereothermometer for Measuring in Open Plan Offices During Summer Period
Original language description
A study introduced field measurements of hygrothermal microclimate in building in the Czech Republic. In this case, the non-uniformity of the thermal constituent of the environment causes problems not only in hot workplaces in industry, but also in buildings with light external cladding or large windows, in air-conditioned or naturally ventilated buildings. Recent legislation in the Czech Republic introduces a new parameter for evaluation of indoor environment named a stereotemperature. The stereotemperature is measured by a newly developed instrument called a globe stereothermometer. Experiments were carried out in a building with open-space offices in summer period in Czech Republic. Recent legislation was used for evaluation of microclimate environment in the building. This work includes objective and subjective measurements. Questionnaires were filled by workers. The stereothemometer was used for the evaluation of non-uniform thermal microclimate conditions in the open space office
