The Indoor Environment of an Area with High Occupancy
Original language description
In this paper, we focused on predicting thermal comfort and indoor air quality using commonly available software and on comparing the results with subsequent measurements in real environment. The main goal of our work is to start a discussion regarding the abilities of a simple/affordable Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) analysis tool for the prediction of thermal comfort and Indoor Air Quality (IAQ). We chose one of the cinema halls in Prague as the environment to be evaluated. We used two software tools in this paper - DesignBuilder for the evaluation of thermal comfort and Contam 3.1 for the evaluation of indoor air quality.
