RPAS as a tool for mapping and other special work
Original language description
RPAS has become a very useful tool in many areas. At the Czech Technical University in Prague, RPAS is used for mapping, archaeological surveying, and monitoring of the bio-sphere. In this paper, the different projects are presented in which RPAS was used as the main data source. For mapping small areas RPAS is a very useful tool. The GSD of the or-thophoto is usually within a few cm, which is sufficient for accurate mapping. The Digital surface model is used to determine the volume of refuse dumps, or their changes. For ar-chaeological survey, orthophotos are usually used and digital surface models to detect de-bris objects. Utilizing infrared cameras together with visible spectral range cameras, it can monitor the biosphere (NDVI index). Special flights with a video camera were performed, heaps of Mininng museum were documented. These projects demonstrate the wide use RPAS as a tool for data collection and its advantages over classical geodetic measure-ments.
