    On the effects of biaxial and thermal loads on rail-slab track interaction behavior

  • Original language description

    The Interaction between the continuously welded rail (CWR) and the slab-track has been widely discussed in recent decades. This phenomenon has to be taken into account especially when designing railway bridges because it significantly affects its arrangement and dimensions. However the existing regulations require only testing of the longitudinal resistance under normal conditions according to EN 13146-1. Therefore the main goal of this contribution is to provide with interaction parameters of one Vossloh DFF 300 node under simultaneous thermal and biaxial loads. The evaluated and numerically verified data will be useful for bridge design in practice.
