Behavior of anchorage areas in the steel-concrete composite structure loaded by longitudinal shear forces
Result description
The paper presents experimental study of load-deflection behavior of anchorage areas in the steel-concrete composite structure under extreme longitudinal shear load. Such a situation has to be considered for example in containments of nuclear power plants lined with steel plate on the inside. For the two studied arrangements of anchorage elements, no tears in the steel liner plate were observed. Failure occurred either in concrete or in the anchorage elements. Load-deflection diagrams applicable for further numerical analyses were obtained.
