Original language description
The proposed method combines the anisotropic Laplacian preconditioning, used in the Fourier-Galerkin method, with the finite element discretisation on a regular pixel/voxel grid. The piece-wise polynomial approximation avoids spurious oscillations and the preconditioning technique ensures fast convergence of the method.
