    Secondary Flow in Curved Cylindrical Channels

  • Original language description

    Some results of the systematic experimental research focused on the secondary flow generation within curved cylindrical channels are presented. Measurements in three cross-sections inside the curved channel consisting of an 90 degrees elbow and two straight pipes using the 5-hole pressure probe were performed for two different inflow structures. The secondary flow patterns and energy losses were described and evaluated with relation to the inflow structures.
