Original language description
The application of power turbine to turbocharged heavy duty diesel engine seems to be an interesting concept for improving fuel consumption under given conditions (usually full load). On the hand, it is not easy to find suitable power turbine (in terms of power with respect to engine power) and to control both turbocharger and power turbine (no design phenomena are taken into account). This theoretical study deals with above mention problems.
