Original language description
State of just off-bottom particle suspension was often determined visually based on observation of the particles sediment at the bottom by classical Zwietering's concept. Accuracy of visual observation of particle layer sediment on the vessel bottom depends on subjective experience of experimenter. This visual method is very simple but it is often difficult to apply or inapplicable e.g. for badly transparent, non-transparent or highly concentrated suspensions. This disadvantage is possible to remove bya new application of the electrochemical method for observation of particle layer sediment on the vessel bottom and for identifying the state of just off-bottom particle suspension. The results of signal analysis and comparison with visual method illustrate very well usability of the electrochemical method for observation of particle layer sediment behaviour on the vessel bottom and for identification of state of just off-bottom particle suspension.
