Original language description
Accuracy of visual observation of particle layer sediment on the vessel bottom by classical Zwietering`s concept depends on subjective experience of experimenter. This visual method is very simple but it is often difficult to apply or inapplicable e.g. for badly transparent, non-transparent or highly concentrated suspensions. This disadvantage is eliminated by new application of the electrochemical method (EDD) for observation of particle layer sediment on the vessel bottom and for identification of state of just off-bottom particle suspension. This method is based on measurement of the limiting diffusion current.
