    Study of Discharge Stream from Standard Rushton Turbine Impeller

  • Original language description

    Article deals with description of turbulent discharge flow from the standard Rushton turbine impeller in a fully baffled cylindrical vessel. Three approaches are used: 1.Theoretical one describing the stream as an axially symmetrical tangential submergedturbulent jet, 2. Experimental one based on determination of the force interference between the stream and radial baffles, and 3. Numerical procedure consisting a CFD description of the velocity profile in the stream. Results of the all above mentined approaches, the flow of the angular momentum in the impeller discharge stream exhibit an excellent agreement of all used methods of its calculation.
