The paper deals with an analysis of the pumping capacity of pitched blade impeller in the pilot plant tall cylindrical vessel with a cylindrical draught tube calculated from results of experiments made by laser Doppler anemometer under turbulent regime of flow of agitated liquid. It follows from results of experiments that decisive geometric quantity affecting the impeller pumping capacity is a slot between the lover edge of draught tube and the conical bottom of vessel when impeller is pumping liquid upwards towards the surface of agitated charge.
