The contribution is oriented upon modeling the thermal forming process of starch based suspensions in a closed mould. This technology is aimed to the replacement of plastics by biodegradable materials in production of packing, dishes, cups etc. One of many other drawbacks of thermal baking technology is duration of the process, which can be shortened by using combined surface heating and the dielectric, microwave or direct ohmic heating (the direct ohmic heating by means of alternating current 50 Hz andelectrodes attached at the wall of the mold was tested).
