    This paper deals with the simulation of the dynamics of density of probability of yeast microbial culture using a stochastic approach. The population balance of microbial cultures is often formulated as a deterministic process described by a system of partial-integro-differential equations. Unfortunately, solving such a system is possible only for the simplest cases. Yeast culture does not satisfy a condition of binary fission (i.e. the mother cell splits into two equal daughter cells), but new offspring originate from the spring up process (i.e. the mother cell splits into two considerably different daughter cells, which is a size-dependent phenomenon). The stochastic model capturing the growth, death and splitting of yeasts is developed and solved.The Markov chain theory is used to model the evolution of the density of probability of the yeasts according to their size.
