Direct Measurement of In-cylinder Charge Composition
Original language description
Equipment and method for a direct in-cylinder charge composition analysis in an internal combustion engine is presented here. A residual gas content can be evaluated by means of a sampling and analysis of the gas directly from the cylinder. The paper describes the accuracy estimation and the impact of the sampling device on engine behaviour. Comparison of direct sampling with the results of 1-D simulation has been caried out.
