This paper shows the automated warehouse system INTELLISTORE that was developed by CTU Prague, KEMPER GmbH and Fraunhofer-Institut für Materialfluss und Logistik. Automated warehouse system INTELLISTORE is an innovative, modular developed shelf storage system for the intelligent sheet metal storage, consisting of a heavy load shelf storage system, an innovative automated storage and retrieval system and specially coordinated stock management software. INTELLISTORE opens complete new possibilities for the storage, supply and administration in the sheet metal processing industry. The shelf storage system treats each sheet individually and therefore cuts out the unpractical drawers. The supply of sheet metal is therefore much quicker, more efficient and accurate. Through INTELLISTORE each individual sheet metal has its own history and identity.
